I live in Solo City Indonesia or sometimes called Surakarta Indonesia .In here there are many maker of bamboo bird cage maybe around 200-300 people. Every maker has their own unique bird cage. But there are 3 kind size major bird cages still made and find in the market.
a. diameter 12” with high around 27.5” we usually call this “kenari” cage because usually using for canary bird
b. diameter 15” with high around 32” we usually call this “wamby” cage because usually using for wamby bird
c. diameter 22-24” with high around 41”- 44” we usually call this “muray” cage because usually using for murray bird
Bamboo bird cage made in Solo Indonesia are full handmade the only machine with using electricity is only drill machine. Unique characteristic of Solo Indonesia bird cage are made from bamboo and almost all are round bird cage
Time to make this bird cage it’s about 2-3 weeks. But some maker need longer time they made special bird cage.

Hello. I have a canary that I would like to buy a bamboo cage for. I had one for my first canary (25 yrs ago) but I gave away. Now I have another canary and would like another bamboo cage. I have been told that canaries do not like round cages. My first bamboo cage was kind of square with pitched roof. Had a slid out bottom that I covered w/gravel paper. Worked great! I would like one that hangs. The dimensions for the canary cage you describe sound a little small so maybe the next size up would be better? I would love it if you could contact me and let me know how much it would cost to buy one from you. I have been looking on the internet for cages but am overwhelmed by selection and type.
