Indonesian tradition and culture robbing

Yesterday I just read blog posting from http://tekywidjaja.blogspot.com about Indonesian traditions and culture which claimed; more over it has been patented by another nation or foreign people. I’m very interesting to the article. That’s inspiring me to make this posting….

I think every Indonesian people will get angry if they know about this.

As an Indonesian I also care about Indonesian traditions. In fact, I have seen in my city especially in my neighborhood that common people like me can’t even think about that matter. We don’t know how to get the copyright of our products. All our attention will be paid to how we should give our children an adequate amount of food today.

In fact many people didn’t realize that their creation can be patent to become their intellectual property. They only thing we know is foreign people always buy more expensive than local buyer.

Otherwise I see many people get rich when by selling to foreigner. Many exporters buy thing very cheap from the creator and then make a little finishing touch such as paint and sell it in expensive price to foreigner. They only paint it but they get rich. They can be rich because they know foreigner buyer. Sometimes they are willing to get married with foreigner for that reason. Get married with foreigner and being rich directly. I have mentioned it in my previous blog, how to become an exporter.

I‘ve often heard about ancient and antique stuff trading. In Sangiran fossil trading still continue until right now. Sometimes I also heard about Keris trading. So who should care about this robbing? I think that people who have been made money by selling to the foreigner have responsibility to build awareness among others.

I think that Indonesian government and Indonesian country leader should give more attention about this matter, not only paid attention to the election. At least, government have to build people awareness that they have right of their creations.

I also posting about this in Javanese languages.

A man is driving up a steep, runescape power leveling narrow mountain road. A woman is driving down the same road. As they pass each other, the woman leans out of the window and yells “PIG!!” The man immediately leans out of his window and replies, “WITCH!!” runescape money They each continue on their way, and as the man rounds the next corner, he crashes into a pig in the middle of the road. If only men would listen.
