wordpress javanese languages

kulo nuwun that is the preambles opener which I use as translation from howdy.

At the last few days I try to translate wordpress 2.8.5 to Javanese. I just have wanted to do that for several months ago and today that translation is finished. If you wish for it you can be download it below.

I really want Javanese languages can be known to whole world. Me myself always use Javanese languages when communicate with my child (see this post). Because I think right now many Javanese people don’t use Javanese languages to their child (see this post).

Also I translate it because is looks like there is no wordpress in Javanese version. That translation is may be still in rough so when later there are criticism and suggestion I conveniently accepted that. I will make my translation better next time.

Appropriate suggestion from Mr Huda administrator wordpress bahasa Indonesia that I should name that file jv_ID.

If you want to use it in your blog.

  1. Download file jv_ID 2.8.5.po and jv_ID 2.8.5.mo and rename it to jv_ID.po and jv_ID.mo.
  2. Upload file jv_ID. po and jv_ID. mo to languages folder at your wordpress.
  3. And don’t forget to change define (‘wplang, ‘ ‘); at your wp-config. php to define (‘wplang, ‘jv_ID’); .

I try it at this blog. This blog this using word press 2.8.6 but translation I make is from word press 2.8.5 but it still can be used here.

This is the download link:

  23. Malay is a different language to Javanese and Sundanese. The official language of Indonesia is Indonesian, which is the same as Malay in Mlaysia. Although they spell words a bit different. Malay and Indonesian is like comparing British to American English. Sundanese and Javanese are abit like comparing English with Dutch and German. Most Javanese and Sundanese can speak Indonesian, because Javanese and Sundanese are spoken in Indonesia, where Indonesian is the official language.
